Careers

Build a career outdoors, on well-run crews.

Greenwood Group hires people who take pride in doing outdoor work well, from crew members to managers and designers. We are locally owned, credentialed, and busy year-round across metro Atlanta, and we would rather grow good people than churn through them. If that sounds like you, tell us where you would fit.

Why work here

A real trade, at a company that runs well.

Landscaping is honest, skilled outdoor work, and a well-run company makes all the difference between a job and a career. Here is what you get with us.

  • Owner-run You work for a locally owned company where the owners are on the properties and reachable, not a distant corporate office.
  • Credentialed team Degreed horticulturists, certified applicators, and a landscape architect on staff mean you learn from people who know the craft.
  • Year-round work A commercial management program runs through every season, so the work is steady rather than boom-and-bust.
  • Room to grow Crew members become crew leaders; the certifications and roles here are a real ladder, not a dead-end job.

Roles we hire

Where you might fit.

We hire across the whole operation, from the crews on the properties to the people who lead them and the designers who plan the work. Here are the role families, and roughly what each one does.

Crew members

The people who do the daily work on our properties: mowing, edging, bed care, pruning, cleanup, and seasonal color. It is hands-on outdoor work on well-run crews, and it is where most careers here start.

Crew leaders (installation)

Lead a crew installing new landscapes: reading a plan, setting grades and beds, planting, and delivering a finished job to spec. You bring leadership and installation experience; you run the site day to day.

Crew leaders (maintenance)

Lead a maintenance crew across a route of commercial properties: quality, safety, scheduling, and the client relationship on the ground. You keep the standard high and the crew moving.

Irrigation technicians

Install, program, inspect, and repair irrigation systems: heads, valves, controllers, and coverage. Diagnostic, detail-oriented water-management work that protects both the landscape and the client’s water bill.

Spray technicians

Apply the turf, tree, and shrub programs correctly, safely, and on schedule. Georgia Certified Pesticide Applicator credentials are valued here; we keep applications documented and compliant.

Area managers

Own a book of commercial accounts: the client relationships, the crews serving them, quality, and the proactive communication we are known for. The owner-direct promise runs through this role.

Operations managers

Keep the whole operation running: routing, staffing, equipment, and the systems that let a large firm still feel owner-direct. A role for someone who can run people and logistics at scale.

Landscape designers

Design commercial and residential landscapes: site analysis, planting design, digital imaging, and working with clients and installation crews to bring a plan to life. Work alongside a landscape architect on staff.
